ONE MORE TIME RAP IS GAY!!!!!!!!! METAL PWNS EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!! this i an aurgument with out a cause or point, its like baseball, yankees being the best team in FRANCHISE history (not now but all time wise), but still have its fans and haters, just like rap & metal. first off Rap is not gay, and so isn't metal theres nothing wrong with neither but there always PEOPLE that bitch about one being better, for no reason. I hate these stereotypes. Me personally like both, probably one more then an other but i would't happen to know more, I may listen to more rap then Metal but i tend to like metal longer then rap. Now To Akon, he shouldn't have done that but that stupid guy in the crowd shoudn't have thrown anything at him neither. So Akon takes half the blame. And NO he dosen't Suck people and for the record he dosen't RAP he sings HIP HOP & R&B which is diffrent to RAP for those who are talking and don't even know the facts.

Looks has got out of hand, and I thought I'd say my two cents on the matter. What the hell does it really matter what race it is when it comes to music? I mean really. Some people get past the fact that anybody, and I mean anybody can listen to any kind of music no matter the race. I hear that crap in my home. I'm supposed to listen to rap, and r and b. I think it's your choice to listen to whatever you want. Liking a kind of music doesn't determen your sexual orientation. That just doesn't make much since to me. I have listened to metal all my life, and had to hear crap like the stereotypical crap. Just a word of advice who thinks like the people from the old age. Get over it, and remember that this isn't the old times anymore.

Now To Akon, he shouldn't have done that but that stupid guy in the crowd shoudn't have thrown anything at him neither. So Akon takes half the blame. Well Akon takes most of the blame, because the object missed him. At some UK festival, 50 Cent was on stage and he had a shitload of bottles pelted at him, but did nothing. I guess Akon needed to fill his ego though.

Liking a kind of music doesn't determen your sexual orientation. I think you'll rethink that after seeing this. ;D *DISCLAIMER: This post was made as a joke. You may not rethink anything

Take a look at bands like Sevendust, KsE (#2 on my list behind Disturbed) and God Forbid, mainstream bands who have and continue to lay the ground work for the ressurection of the genre. What's all these bands have in common? Afro-American front men. Good music knows no color line. Simple as that. At one time Eminem was considered the best MC in hip hop, and low and behold, he's white. Race doesn't make good music. Talent makes good music, and me actually BEING a musician, I have a healthy appreciation of where things have come, and where it's going. In terms of hip hop, while you do have guys like Lil' Wayne and Young Jeezy who actually have SOME kind of lyrical talent, hip hop as a whole is failing. Hip hop is supposed to be and MC telling a story in rhyme. What story do YOU know of where a guy talks about his rims, his bitches and his money? The state of hip hop as of now is a total mess, and in my eye it's gonna take a total unknown, just like Eminem did back in 2000 to basically flip it on it's ear and make people rethink things. The crap you here on the radio, and get force fed on "Sucka Free Sunday" is NOT hip hop. You listen to Kanye West, Little Brother (and damn them for breaking up), Mos Def, Talib Qweli, and anything of that ilk...THAT'S Hip Hop. Because they're songs convey a message. But why would people wanna listen to a song that actually makes you "think"?
And on the subject of Akon, you could say he over reacted. You could say he was defending himself. But what I'LL say is the plain truth, when young black men get in that position of having a little recognition, they let it go to there heads. He's riding the success train, and in that he thinks he's untouchable. But he needs to remember that just a few years ago he was sittin' in Riker's Island, and it's real easy to get put back on the boat.
