DO NOT VOTE UNTIL AFTER READING THE THREAD AND POSTING PLEASE!
Create-A-Move. Mostly every wrestling fan who can afford a video game system's dream. But, has anyone ever thought about the pros and cons of the feature? Take a look at the list and add more if you think of any. Then answer above.
Pros - Original CAWs can have their own, indivisual finishers - Less fuss in e-feds about finishers - More realistic e-feds - The ability to give Wrestler CAWs their real finishers - Moves peopel make up as they fight eachother, can be put in the game
Cons - Some people will suck at it just as much as they suck at making CAWs - Can be glitchy - Can possible make unrealistic moves - Possible low limit on how many you can create - No weapon versions of the moves (tables, ladders, etc.)
Post more and vote.

I agree with the glitch con and the "no-realism" thing...imagining a bunch of noobs with triple backflip Osaka Street Cutters and 360 Pedigrees, lol. This would definitely be an adavnced tool like the Create Taunt thing was before they canned it. In the hands of creative minds, you could come up with some wicked moves. Or...they could just add back all the moves they chucked from last year and add more to them...how'd I'd love to have "Remember That" again. Anyhoo...I'd be on the damn mode like all day, and forget about the Twins.

Mystery voter...scewy, lol. But yeah...they would obvious have to put some limitations on the feature, maybe something like the Create Entrance where it's split in sections. To start you have a few motions and then you unlock more in-game, basically mixing them to create unique moves or variations of old ones.

I can't think of any more Pro or Cons other than what you mentioned Jerry, but yeah, there are ways that it can be made into something awesome. I think they'd have to make it one shot finishers though, no combinations or multi-part moves unless it's a submission or something ala Armbar into Ankle Lock. They have to limit it to things that can actually be done in the ring, not over the top stuff.

I don't think it would be a good idea because of the glitchyness, and people making moves that aren't humanly possible.

I think that's what X is talking about there with the limitations to moves and such. THERE'S where you can have weightclass limits and such, not the actual moves themselves. But yeah, limit the combinations of things.

Here's what I'm thinking.
Front/Back grapples ONLY. No ground, air, or running moves.
Now, you start out by picking the type of move it's going to be...Slam, Drop, Suplex, Strike, Submission or Pin.
Then you pick a STARTING position, front or back and select from several start-up holds. From there you pick from different motions that will alter your position like holding a single arm or lifting a guy up in a press, all dependent on the move type and starting position.
Then lastly you pick from a set of finishing animations relevant to the motion selected. Lemme see if I can lay one out for you.

And how many flips should vary on WHERE the move is. If it's like a turnbuckle move, then have a limit 0f like 630 degrees. If it's a standing move, 360 degrees. Anything else, nothing.
Good start of an idea X.

This was probably the case when they first made the GM mode and all that...let THQ try it even with its flaws. It'll get better as the games progress.

By the way folks, I don't know if they're adding this feature or not.

This is all just a big old "what if" kinda thing. Wishful thinking is all. Still looking forward to seeing what X has thought up, this has obviously crossed his mind before.
