~/~The journey to the concrete jungle was a hard one. A lonely one. But she had made it. She left home with nothing but the bare essentials. Clothing and hunting equipment. She stood out like a sore thumb in this place. She arrived infront of the One Pen Plaza, bow dangling from her back, her quiver of arrows full. When low, she'd simply make more. Her knife sheathed in a spot on her belt. She had bathed earlier in the day. First impressions were a must in a business. She entered the building, heads turning towards her. She asked someone politely where she could find the chief, it took several tries, but they finally understood who she meant. Now, she was outside the door of the chief's office. She took a deep breath and knocked firmly, making her presence known.~/~

Carmella rises from her seat to actually answer the door this time around. Upon opening it she's greeted by a woman, a statuesque beauty whom is dressed in very native clothing. Draped on he back is an actual quiver of arrows and a bow. At first Carmella took a double take at the sight, as if she were looking at a history book of some kind, but the figure in front of her was very much real.
Hello there...

~/~There she was. The chief of the XWA. The first stop, the first obstacle on her journey. This woman had an aura of leadership about her. Aiyanna could see that. A faint smile forming to her face as she raises her left hand chest level, palm facing the chief, as if a greeting, or show of respect. She lowered her hand slowly.~/~
"Chief Blackheart?" [/font]

Um...yes that would be me. And please, call me Carmella. What can I do for you?

~/~She was in the right building. And was at the right office door. Thank the Spirits for that. However, the chief had said something that confused her. She wished for her to call he by her first name, Carmella. Aiyanna would have to object. She would not dishonor the chief's name.~/~
"I come here, from Steins, New Mexico. I don't expect many to know of the place. It was a long journey. It was a hard journey. But I endured the harsh climates and I am here. I come here simply asking for guidance under your leadership, Chief Blackheart. I wish to be a warrior under your name."

Given the girl's choice of attire, Carmella surmised that the journey she spoke of probably wasn't by plane or any more conventional means of transportation. She could see it in her eyes...the determination, the drive. They were qualities that commanded to be noticed.
What's your name, dear?

"My Earthen name, bestowed upon me by my mother and father, is Aiyanna Nizhoni. However, I've yet to recieve a warrior's name from the Great Spirits. I am simply Nemo. Call me whichever." *Nemo = No One

I'll stick with Aiyanna for now, then how's that?
She smiles at the girl, hopefully it eases the mood. She looked as said before determined, sometimes it's not good to stay that way all of the time.
Please...step into my office, have a seat. Let's talk...

~/~She nods to the chief, stepping into the office as she gives her room to do so, she looks around the place. Quaint. Peaceful feeling to it. She stopped, closing her eyes and breathed in deeply, exhaling slowly before moving further into the office. She removed her bow from her back and set it upright, leaning it against the desk as she took a seat in one of the chairs infront of the office desk. So far so good.~/~

Mel settles into her seat. Taking a breath she looks again at this young girl. She still didn't know what to make of her, but she herself was determined to find out.
Now, you say you wish to be a "warrior under my name". This isn't exactly an army of comradery I have going here. In fact...it's a warzone...controlled to an extent, but every man and woman to themselves more or less, barring you actual team here and there.
I'm sure you've seen a good skirmish or two, but it's a little different in this kind of environment. Think you can handle some of the things you're going to to see?

"Each and every person in this place, they fight under your name, they are warrior's by your command. You say who they shall face and they do it, no questions. You are the chief. You are the leader. I have seen many things in my twenty-two years. I have done many things. I've watched my parents pass from this Earth before my very eyes. I've killed animals with my bare hands, for sustenance. I believe I will be just fine here. My will is strong and shan't be broken."

Seeing something like that sits in her mind. She saw her parents die? Something like that is quite a shock to hear...
That must have been very hard, your parent's death. You're so young, Aiyanna...how did you manage to survive as you have?

"How did I survive? My family and I have always lived in the wild. It comes naturally for us. Our wills are strong, the harshness of the wild strengthens ones will to the strongest of degrees. I had made my home, along with my two sisters, in the desolate town of Steins, New Mexico. Why is it desolate? I do not know. But it became our home. Misae and Yoki already stated to me, that shortly after I left, they would as well. They said they would be watching me, in this place, which can only mean they are going to civilization, much like I myself have."

Civilization as you call can be even stranger than the wild, trust me on that one. It's more about the mental readiness of it, because you look more than capable of handling it physically. Still...I couldn't live with myself if I just gave you an XWA contract and let you be on your way.
She leans forward against her desk now and looks Aiyanna in the eye.
You're...different from everyone else I've seen so far. Yes I have one or two people who are coming from backgrounds aside from wrestling but...they're a lot more in tuned to how harsh this business can be at times. I want to help you adjust to things here...if you let me.

"You wish to help me adjust? Well, so be it. It would be wrong to deny the wishes of the Chief. You wish to help me.. Guide me, Chief Blackheart, so that I may understand this place and civilization better."
